What can a do with a seafood mix – prawns, shrimps, squid, etc…?

I’ve just bought some from the supermarket, which looks so yummy, but I am stuck as to what to do with it!

I love seafood, even on it’s own – any ideas please?

Please keep it simple though as I am terrible at cooking!
THanks for all your replies – I gave you all a thumbs up for giving different answers – but I noticed that you’ve also all been given a thumbs down. I hate that!

Easy! Seafood spaguetti!

Cook the spags, drain them. In a frying pan, fry onions, garlic, seafood, basil (fresh is best!), mild chilli, single cream and a splash of dry white wine. Mix the spags & seafood. I promise you, it’s delish!

What meal should I serve with seafood salad?

Just finished a party and I have ALOT of seafood salad leftover. Just looking for ways to finish off the seafood salad. What meals can I serve with my seafood salad with for Lunch or Dinner?
It’s a very rich salad (Imitation crab meat, cold vegetables, mayo and sour cream) so I prefer not to eat it alone.

I appreciate any suggestions. :)

okay well i am a super lover of seafood salad. I have eaten it mostly alone or as a side to a lighter meal, sometimes, not so light, but you gotta be careful because sea food salad is a flavor that doesn’t go well with a lot of things especially since it coats your tongue.

I would go with something like Eggplant Parmesan but that’s because I don’t give a damn about calories.

Also as a lighter version of eating it by itself and making it feel like a filling meal, put it on top of some light crisp greens like romaine, or butter bib. have a piece of bread with that…and a glass of white…this is making me hungry.

What is the cheapest food you can live on?

Ok aside from the following foods, what else can you live on that is super cheap (I dont eat meat but I eat seafood, eggs and milk products):

Peanut Butter Sandwiches
Eggs
Ramen noodles
I have like a little bit of money and im trying to make it last so the cheaper the food and the more filling the food is, the better

The best bet is to buy locally and in bulk, and make your own foods. And seafood=meat.

Peanut butter sandwiches, quinoa, frozen vegetables, fruits, salad, homemade soup, beans, tvp, tofu, lentils, nut loafs, couscous, pre-made potatoes in a bag, rice, plant milk.

Getting seafood odor out of refrigerator and freezer.?

Left town and forgot about some leftover cooked shrimp.
We’ve tried baking soda, scrubbing with lemon juice but it just won’t go away. It has infiltrated the ice maker. Bought a special "ordor killer" product from Sharper Image, still no luck.
Help!

Tell your wife to get out of there IMMEDIATELY and GO TAKE A SHOWER!!!

does anyone have or know a website for good seafood recipes ?

I LOVE SEA FOOD!!!!!!

Check out the Food Network. It has a great search engine that allows you to include the keyword. In your instance it would be seafood. But, I’m sure to bring up too many items for you, so prepare to adjust your search to a particular seafood and/or ingredients.

Mixed seafood recipes?

Hi Everyone,
I bought a beautiful seafood marinara mix and was wondering whether anyone had some great seafood recipes I can use it in?
Thanks!

if it’s a cooked, mixed seafood package, try this soup

SQUID SOUP
1 lbCleaned squid or pkg of cooked mixed seafood
28 ozSpaghetti sauce of your choice
2 clovesGarlic, minced
2 tspOil
1 cupWhite wine
1.Thaw squid, cut into rings
2.Heat oil in saucepan, sauté garlic 2 minutes
3.Add wine and spaghetti sauce, simmer 20 minutes
4.Add squid and allow to cook, won’t take long to fully cook, just a few minutes
5.Serve with crusty bread
6.If using the precooked seafood, just heat in soup until hot
7.Don’t overcook the squid or seafood mix!

Where can I buy fresh seafood in Michigan?

Huron county has a lot of places. The key for fresh is to buy along the many miles of shoreline. Most other places don’t carry fresh. If you mean shrimp and oceanic food, then really the freshest you will find will be in super markets.

Can anyone provide me with a Seafood pasta recipe that does not have a tomato base?

I was in Rome and ordered a Spaghetti Marinara and it was a kind of stock based recipe, not tomato like you usually get in oz restaurants, Can anyone help me with a non tomato based Seafood pasta Recipe?

Pasta with Alfredo sauce (cream, butter and cheese base) is great with seafood.

Alfredo sauce is a base of cream, butter, Regiano or Asiago or Parmesan cheese to which cooked pasta is added with seafood (shrimp, scallops, salmon, clams, crab, lobster, etc.)

Or just butter with the seafood. Or just olive oil and herbs.

Where can I find the best seafood in Malaysia?

As a chef, I love exploring all kinds of dishes but I especially love seafood! Can someone tell me where I can find the best seafood in Malaysia? And what make this place and the seafood so special.
*Stand a chance to win 3 pairs of dinner passes to meet Kylie Kwong at Mandarin Oriental, KL on 10 June. Winners will be announced through their email.

Since there are a few suggestions in Klang, but I didn’t see any suggestion to Pasir Penambang, a fisherman village in Kuala Selangor. This is a small town at the riverside, where is the harbour for fishboats. So, the seafood here are fresh and you can even ask for permission to look the processes of fresh seafood. Besides, it is very near the Kuala Selangor historical tourists attraction. In my opinion, Pasir Penambang, Kuala Selangor is the ideal place for a tourist. Hope you enjoy!
