fish doesn’t normally “smell like fish” until it reaches certian stages in decomposition or when it’s cooked. So if you get a fish that smells like fish you have higher chances of it being questionable for consumption because it’s not fresh. Also works for sushi. Sushi shouldn’t smell or taste like fish either. If it does it’s older less fresh fish.
