what foods should i stay away from during pregnancy?
I have read and been told to not eat soft cheeses, meat that isn’t cooked properly, high levels of seafood, products containing raw egg like mayonnaise- is there anything else?
whenever I had a question having anything to do with pregnancy, after I heard everyone out checked with the most amazing book called "What to expect when your expecting" by Arlene Eisenburg, Murkoff and Hathaway. Every question I had and many others were there. Plus helpfull tips, proper diet, tests, labor -delivery and postpartum. I truly recommend it.
My Dr said stay away from the DELI ! Period ! Cheeses, meats, seafood ect…….. Some will beg-to-differ, but Id rather be safe than sorry……….

any form of liver and pates and blue veined cheeses like stilton. fish is ok but shellfish should be avoided. stick to smaller fish like mackeral and kippers rather than larger types of tuna and dont eat swordfish or shark (contain high levels of mercury and other pollutants which can be harmful)
peanuts if you have a family history of allergies ( astma or food allergy)
wash all salad/fruit/vegetables thoughrolly too (pesticides are no good)

ask your doctor first because i relied on his advice and i ate just about everything i usually ate before i got pregnant. during your pregnancy your body will tell you sometimes what you should or shouldn’t eat. I couldn’t eat much pork because i would cramp constantly when i did with my middle child yet i desired salt and it was not good for me because my feet would swell terribly. So a mixture of dr.’s advice and listening to your body is what I recommend.
