If you leave the brownie in, it steals all the heat from the other food and it doesn’t cook fast enough. If you take the brownie out at the beginning, everything else burns. The only choice is to remove the brownie when it says. I usually just eat my brownie and the corn stuck in it while I wait for everything else to finish cooking.
I saw the headline on the Atlantic site, and was reminded of her earlier adventures in culinary crimes against humanity. She’s Sandra Lee without the charm.
my wife doesn't eat seafood, period. end of story…
except blue claw crabs.
no lobster, no fish, no shrimp, no king crabs, just blue claw crabs.
I eat all kinds of seafood but of all of them, crabs are probably my least favorite. they are messy and too much work for too little meat. makes no sense to me but I still love her. my kids (4 and 9) both love all types of seafood including sushi.

Participating in the #todaysmom sharing of tips on Twitter was a blast! I enjoyed reading all the great tips, connecting with other moms on twitter, and particularly enjoyed the discussions that ensued from various tips.

Doing the dishes is one of the best ways to fight cabin fever! I always do the dishes as you so wonderfully wrote looking out the window and think – ahhh it's not so bad out there, look a cat just ran by, oh a squirrel and a couple birds. Then once the dishes are done, I step out and go WHAT THEY HELL! Its freakin' cold out! And go back and eat some more and create dirty dishes all over again. It's a vicious circle – but were it not for the dishes I would just eat all day long.
Thanks Kath, always enjoy your views!

Sencillo, [espero que valgan los gadgets ficticios], el querría los brazos mecánicos del Doctor Octopus. ¿Por qué conformarse con un brazo prostetico cuando puedes tener 4?
soaking them in milk for about 30 minutes before cooking might help reduce the fishy flavor and smell without breaking down the texture.

All the staff here at the Red Elk in Inverloch donated their tips for the week following the bushfires and added it to the money taken on Valentine's Day. It was a hard sell to customers that night but our tips totalled $150 which we are really pleased to contribute. We continue, as a small coastal communicity in Inverloch, to raise funds on a daily basis.

London (a far bigger system than the Bay Area) has launched the Oyster contactless card in 2003 and it’s wildly successful. And speaking of 2003, that year I visited Hong Kong and there I was using their Octopus contactless card not only for transit, but even for purchases at the local 7-Elevens; the Octopus system was launched in 1997, 11 years ago.
We may live close to the Silicon Valley, but certainly our local government is eons away from it — even Boston has a working contactless system for its transit (the CharlieCard).
An interesting statistic: Hong Kongers take 2.1 seconds to go through the turnstiles with the Octopus card: compare this with how long it takes for Muni to load people!
Seafood, seafood, seafood and grilled fruits and veggies ….yum !!!
I guess once the kids are in school, you don't have as much control, but over a toddler, you have one awesome parenting tool: lying.
D1 thinks doing the dishes is so fun! She can't wait to get bigger and help with the dishes and taking out the trash. Sometimes, I get tired of the act (smiling when I'm doing the dishes or laughing while taking out the trash), but I know that a few years of hardship will result in decades of sitting on my butt while my kids work.
Even though I’ve been married 20 years to a wonderful man, there are still days, weeks and months when I look back longingly on my single days. Let me add a few more:
I have turned into a devout pastafari. Today i went around the neighborhood distributing leftover pasta from yesterday. i had cooked it myself. its incredibly depressing to cook pasta, so it perfectly suited the mood.
it told them it was a religious thing. our religion forbids trashing leftover pasta. “Thou shalt not trash leftover pasta” and all that.
If you think i'm kidding about all this, I am not.

Although I could not agree more about clean dishes and their friendlyness, I prefer my own invented method of dishy cleansing. 1. fill a large pot with soap and water and set on medium heat. 2. insert dishes that will fit and boil for 3 minutes (be careful that the dishes do not boil over). 3. remove dishes with tongs or asbestos gloves (they will be HOT) and rinse in warm water (warm. otherwise the temperature shock will harm your dishes) 4. dry the dishes however you want (I like the oven. Makes sure their sterile) After all that, if any germs still live, by God, they have a right to.
Yes, but there are other ways: You can turn of cooking eggs in the in kitchen screen from the status menu [z] and [q]uery you food stockpiles, forbidding eggs from being placed in them. The dwarves will then leave eggs alone to hatch. Alternatively put your breeding nest boxes in a locked room with the breeding females such that your dwarves cannot access the eggs.
