Good Wine, Good Flight
One of the best features available to you when you take advantage of an aircraft charter is that you get to select which food and drink you would like to eat. Any five-star cuisine is available to you when you fly on a lear jet, so it makes sense to have the appropriate wines to correspond with the various dishes you will be consuming in flight. Good wine is such a pleasure to enjoy, and it makes sense that if you have good wine aboard your private charter jet, then you will have a good flight.
Wine grapes are usually made from Vitis vinifera, latin for the European species of wine grape varieties. Perhaps you enjoy Merlot, or Chardonnay. These are varietals, because they use these particular grapes as the primary grape in the production of those specific wines. Blended wines can be luscious as well, especially if they are prized wines from Tuscany or Bordeaux.
There are several categories of wine, and all of these are available for your enjoyment on your next personal charter jet flight. It is lovely to start with an aperitif, which could include Vermouth or Madeira, to enjoy before your meal. If you are dining on seafood, salad, pork or curry, then you might pair it with a rose wine. For a special occasion, you might select a sparkling wine, the most famous of which is champagne.
A table wine is always a delectable choice when you are looking for a wine that has a lighter alcoholic content. This might be a good choice if you are wanting to conduct business as you enjoy the meal. After the sumptuous food, why not top it off with a dessert wine, a sweet wine. They can include Sauternes, port, Tokay or sweet sherry, and any would be delightful after a delicious meal. If you are looking for something with a little more impact, a fortified wine that has had a spirit added to it may be the best selection. Brandy or grappa are excellent examples of fortified wines.
The color of a wine is brought about by the inclusion of the grape skin during the process of fermentation when the wine is being made. Red wine gets its glorious color because the skin is left in the juice while it ferments, whereas with white wine, no matter what color grape is being used, it remains white because the grape skin has been removed.
All of these stellar wines are available for your delectation when you choose to travel on a private charter jet. Simply let your personal concierge know what you desire, and he or she will ensure that it is on board and ready for you.

A good wine flight?
I wanted to put together a wine flight for a party–preferrably white wine. (tasting of wine samples that are similar and complement one another) Any suggestions??
Sorry but Flying and Wine drinking dont mix!!!! LOL

I think chardonnay has been done to death. I think if you want to set up a wine flight, choose some less popular varietals to introduce your friends to something new.
Some of my favorite whites include: riesling, viognier, pinot blanc, albariño and semillon.
Pick white wines of varying sweetness and body. Start light and dry and work your way to fuller and sweeter. White wines can cover a wide territory in terms of taste, color and texture.

I’ll drink to that. Pass the viognier!
My favorite flight is to pick a type of grape, like sauvignon blanc for example, and then find them from different countries. Do france, new zealand, united states, etc. and see how they taste different from each other.
Another thing you could do is a flight of any white under say $15. or whatever price range you want.
It is actually a bit hard to try and taste different whites because some just don’t taste right one after the other. like going from a very sweet gewurztraminer to a big buttery chardonnay. It just tastes weird.

The Many Shades of Rosé Flight
Three 3 oz. Pours $12
Spring has sprung…So what better way to celebrate but with a refreshing Rosé flight. Last year we just focused on Pinot Noir Rosé, but this time around we are using a broader brush, to show just how perfect Rosés are for many Spring time occasions. Here then are three great examples of Rosé:
1. Ch. Ferry Lacombe, Côtes-de-Provence, Provence, France $7 gl $28 btl
The history of Ch. Ferry Lacombe goes back 300 years when the Ferri family from Italy settled in Trets-en-Provence. The area, known as Mont St. Victoire, has a cool microclimate and produces wines with a crisp acidity.
This wine, made up of 50% Grenache, 40% Cinsault and 10% Syrah, comes from
8 hectares of the oldest vines, and is hand harvested. The wine is made by the "Saignee" method, the juice is left on the skins for 8 to 12 hours and then pressed off.
The wine shows wonderful fresh peach elements with a good hit of acidity, and a little strawberry mid palate. A great picnic wine.
2. Charles Joguet, Chinon Rosé, Loire, France $8 gl $32 btl
The vineyards of the Domaine Charles Joguet have ancient origins.
Their Sazilly vineyards, which are entirely planted with Cabernet Franc, date back to 1830 or maybe earlier. Since it was founded by Charles Joguet in 1957, the domain has been seeking to highlight the Chinon terroirs (a combination of soil and microclimate), with a simple idea in mind: each wine is the expression of a particular terroir.
This rosé is made by bleeding a certain quantity of juice from different vats, before the color of the must becomes too pronounced.
It is very slowly fermented in stainless steel vats at low temperature (15° à 17°C), to preserve all the aromas, an essential characteristic looked for in this style of wine. Malolactic fermentation is avoided, as the freshness of the wine should be preserved intact.
The wine is a bright silvery salmon color, with clean raspberry, floral and minty aromas. Supple, fruity and dry, with good texture and depth for rosé. Fat and easygoing, but kept fresh by a bright minty quality.
3. 2005 Soter, Rosé, North Valley, Yamhill-Carleton, Oregon $9 gl $36 btl
Soter Vineyards rosé is derived from their Beacon Hill Estate vineyard, where it is farmed with the same meticulous attention to detail and low yields as all of their wines. Select lots of Pinot Noir are given a gentle whole-cluster pressing and then quickly taken off of the skins, and soon they are fermented in neutral oak and stainless steel barrels. After approximately 4 months of aging, the wine has excellent clarity and purity, and is ready for bottling with a slight addition of spicy, fruity red Pinot Noir to add color and even more flavor dimension.
The wine has a great texture and is rich on the palate; the flavors are of strawberry and raspberries and to finish there’s plenty of acid to balance things out.

Just don’t let the pilot drink!

It reminds me of an episode of “The Simpsons” when Lisa destroys a roasted pig Homer is preparing for a BBQ. Through mud, water, and eventually shooting through the air, Homer keeps trying to rationalize that the increasingly poor state of his main course is irrelevant. “Its just a little dirty, It's still good, it's still good”… “It's just a little slimey. It's still good, it's still good.”… “Its just a little airborne. It's still good, it's still good!” I always think of that when the “Clap Louder” crowd somehow finds a way to twist the abject failure of fat stigmatization into proof of the virtues of fat stigmatization. No negative evidence will sway them. They simply cry, “It's still good, it's still good!”
I’d like to get a cool and custom about.me background – anyone good at designing a nicely optimized and unique background?
…and some critic, who may have a decent ability to write and/or communicate will give credence to her, or the sick artwork/photogrpahy surrounding this (and other) artist….trying to give meaning and “explain” the “art”–when in reality, it is simply devolving into body mutilation laced with avante garde fashion design. Not creative in the least–except if you listen to the critics try and “explain” how “brilliant” it really is… If someone has to TELL you how brilliant something (art/fashion) is– then it’s probably not that fantastic…

You raise good points. I'd also wonder if the passengers who died in Colgan 3407 had been aware of what came out later regarding their flight crew (that their captain had failed multiple checkrides and that their first officer had minimal flight experience and had not slept the night before and was sick) if they'd have booked the flight with Colgan anyway. And I wonder how many assumed that the flight crew was the standard Continental flight crew given the logo on the plane.
I, for one, can’t wait for DJs “analysis” of the polls. Always good for a guffaw.
nows a good time to start that practice AP test
Give the Flight attendants some credit for ONCE ! The pilots did an amazing job, but its the Flight Attendants that get the doors open and get you out ! Thats what we train for, not mixing you a drink. I was shocked to see that CNN was saying it was a flight crew of 2 ! They should know better. Flight attendants are a crucial part of the crew as any pilot will tell you.A 35 year flight attendant.
Awesome. I have a flight with them tonight. Any idea if I’m in risk of a grounding?
Yeah, it does sound goodz This is definitely a family-gathering type of dish, so you might want to try it out on your loved ones, 3
Search teams say they have discovered part of a flight recorder from the Air France plane that went down in 2009 off the coast of Brazil, but not its key data section.

We flew on the Addis to DC flight from Addis when we adopted our daughter Ryelynn. She was 19 months old when we flew home. Our son, 4 at the time, was with us. The flight really wasn't so bad…It's long…but it left at night. It was horrid for us..but Our kids slept 3/4 of the flight. I would much rather get on a flight and not have to get off, then to get on and off and on and off. We are considering a flight thru Addis also. We would love to see Addis again, and it seems to be the cheapest.
I think as long as you are prepared with clothing, toys, food etc, the flight isn't really so bad.
Wine Racks On Bicycles Are Great Ideas [Design]
Not in a good mood rite now but shid i aint gon worry ill b bak 2 myself n a lil bit
It depends who is home. If it’s just me, I love a couple of different cheeses, a handful of crackers, some dried fruit and a glass of wine.If all my guys are home, it’s comfort food. Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed green beans, a tossed salad and fresh, soft, buttery rolls.
Going dark soon for flight to story with

TIalsoL that Sid Meier was responsible for the majority of my non D&D-based favourite childhood computer games. I had no idea he made so many flight sims. Gunship and F-19 FTW!! Also, Pirates. I knew he made that, but I have to mention it because I freaking _loved_ that game.
My best advice is to just keep on doing what you're doing- focus on listening to the body and what's good for you. You've become so good at figuring out healthy options and a good workout schedule. My weight fluctuates a good 5 pounds on a weekly basis. I don't understand it, but as long as I feel good the whole time, I don't question it too much…

>it wasn’t user friendly >in SWG you had no idea wtf to do unless you did some research or made friends. Come on though, these are not good things… I can respect having to actually invest time to understand and be good at a game, but it shouldn’t be hard and awkward to do so. Note that I haven’t played the game, ever, so I’m just going by your description.
If you’re not from london try to act like you are, you get a loss less beggars and a lot less hassle from people who might otherwise see you as an easy target. Walk fast with your head down and people will move out your way. Don’t get off at stockwell when you’re drunk and just been on the last tube then try and walk to kennington. Don’t talk to black gangstars in kennington about you’re favorite drink and say ‘i hope you don’t find this racist but i’ve always prefered white wine. Note it was not me who said this.
Itz all good wen we got the paper flowing we never stop to think how fast the paste we going
