More info on the historical significance of the Birdseye plant in Gloucester, which I found on Wikpedia. They regard it as the beginning of today’s frozen food industry! :
Haven't tried Richard's Green onion; have tried the Mac's. Good stuff. I will use Richards/Savoie's/Mandas in a pinch, but I usually have some trip thru South La where I keep myself stocked with quality meat from small butcher shops. e.g. I always have some Rabideaux's andouille in the freezer for gumbo. Too hot to think about that now, but some duck & andouille gumbo is excellent when the temperature falls.
Jeez, I'm American, and I can't fathom why anyone acts like that (the Father & Son, not Natasha and Master Right). Arrgghh.Nothing wrong with the occasional lead shot, at least you know the provenance. I had a fine duck gumbo last year (duck courtesy of a hunter friend of mine), and only one pellet! The gumbo was delicious. Sounds like the rest of your evening went well, too.Slainte!
