Tilapia Fish, Homemade Hushpuppies and Potato Wedges

Tilapia Fish
Purchased @ Walmart
Comes in a pack of 26 for 12.00$ :)
Tilapia Fried

Coat with any seasoning you want I used Seafood seasoning then lightly coat it on both sides with Cornmeal, Brown on both sides then take out..I used a cast iron skillet Buy it at walmart !!

Homemade Hushpuppies

1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 1/2 cups buttermilk — or as needed
1 medium onion or green onion

Mix wet with dry and if your batter is watery add FLOUR till it is thick to make into a ball or scoop it out with a ice cream scooper.

Sift together flour, cornmeal, salt, and soda. Add egg and buttermilk until it’s the right consistency to hold its shape when rolled into a ball. Mix in onion, then roll into balls about 1 to 2 inches across and drop in deep hot fat. Fry until they’re brown and crispy. Let them drain a bit on some paper and serve hot.

Homemade Potato Wedges

1 Large Potato slice in sticks
season with whatever seasoning you like I used Italian and Seasonal and a little bit of Tonys
1EGG, 1/2 cup of buttermilk mix together

Dip potato into egg&buttermilk mix and dip in flour
Put in deep fryer till Golden Brown

You can also boil then first then coat with milk/flour
Enjoy Ya’ll and if you don’t want all this then..subsitute with some vegetables of your choice.

Betty’s Surfin’ Seafood Cocktail Sauce Recipe

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a lovely and useful seafood cocktail sauce. A combination of scrumptious flavors, the sauce adds that extra zing to fish and seafood, as well as a variety of deep-fried delights.
Ingredients:

½ cup chili sauce
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 ½ tablespoons prepared horseradish
a few drops of hot sauce
salt, to taste

In a small mixing bowl, combine ½ cup chili sauce, ½ cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 ½ tablespoons prepared horseradish, a few drops of hot sauce and salt, to taste. Stir well, until thoroughly combined. Pour into a small dish for serving. Use this seafood cocktail sauce with fish, seafood, and deep-fried vegetables. It makes the difference between a good meal and a great meal!

Betty’s Hearty and Healthy Seafood Bisque Recipe

In this video, Betty makes a Hearty and Healthy Seafood Bisque. This is an imitation of the soup that Rick ordered at Murray’s Restaurant at our Valentine’s dinner. This seafood bisque features mainly canned items, so it is very quick and easy to make. It contains canned shrimp, canned crab meat, cannned mushroon, celery, and tomato soups, along with some milk, parsley, minced onion, and seasonings. It tastes super!

Ingredients:

10.75-oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup
10.75 oz. can condensed cream of celery soup
1/2 of a 10.75-oz. can of tomato soup
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (You may use 1/3 tablespoon dried parsley.)
1 tablespoon minced onion
4-oz. can small shrimp, drained and rinsed
6-oz. can crab meat, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons butter
salt and pepper, to taste

In a large deep saucepan, combine 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can cream of celery soup, and 1/2 can tomato soup, 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon minced onion, 4-oz can small shrimp, 6-oz, can crab meat, 2 tablespoons butter, and salt and pepper, to taste. Heat through and serve immediately with saltine crackers or toasted bread. This is a great bisque! –Betty :)
